Angel Card of the Week: Sisterhood-Brotherhood

Week of 6/24/12

My oh my, how time flies! This past week has been quite a busy one for me with work and my many, many, 'life projects'; I was not able to pull a card from my usual decks, however, I am never without something! Today I have my handy-dandy "Original Angel Cards" by Kathy Tyler and Joy Drake. I love these little cards, I keep them at my desk at work and pull them when the moment strikes, and sometimes I even offer them to my co-workers when they are having a rough day.

This week's 'little card' is the 'Sisterhood-Brotherhood' card. This sweet little card represents unity, and universal compassion for all of your human "brothers" and "sisters". There is something really unique about sharing food with people who were total strangers just a moment ago in the bar seat next to you, enjoying a concert and singing out loud with new found friends, or even getting dressed at the gym with your brothers or sisters. Appreciate these moments of human interactions, and really look at each one of these people, as brothers or sisters.

Have a great week!

Angel Card of the Week: Manifestation Power (2)

True today as it was on January 29, 2012...we have a repeat card folks! I really enjoy this card, Manifestation Power, it is a concept that has certainly been in the forefront of my mind in recent days. Manifestation is more than just wanting something 'good' to come your way, it is your actions, it is what you say, and what you think that manifests your reality whether you realize it or not. Be very mindful of where your thoughts are right now, you also have the unfortunate power to create negativity around you.

For the last few months I have noticed a very, very thin veil of otherworldly activity happening behind the scenes, and with that thinning it is my own personal belief that what we say, do, or think will approach more rapidly than usual. On the very awesome and bright side of that, now is the time that you can truly manifest something great and it will come much faster!

Have a great week!

Angel Card of The Week: River/Movement

Week of 6/10/12

This week's card is from Dr. Steven Farmer's Earth Magic Oracle deck, and it is titled, River/Movement. This very beautiful card depicts a deep valley with a calm but steadily flowing river. When I look at this card I see consistant movement. This card gives me the motivation I need for this week, and I hope it offers the same for you. This river is moving, and it will continue to flow steadily, fast or slow, it is in constant motion. We as dynamic human beings are always in constant flow, or change, the circumstances surrounding us can behave the same way, but sometimes may seem to need assistance with momentum (change).

This week I will not ask you where things are moving or flowing in your life, but I will ask you to recognize what is stagnant? What is not moving in your life? What can you do to add momentum to your situation? You are in control of the world around you.

Have a great week!

Chakra Focus 7 of 7: Crown Chakra

Crown Chakra

Color: Violet
Element: Loving Each Other
Developmental Age: 55-70
Spiritual Strength: Spiritual Connection
Developmental Crisis: Mastery versus Distraction
from Susan J. Wright's The Chakra's in Shamanic Practice

Just after I began this blog, I decided I would begin exploring my Chakras. Our Chakras are such an important part of the composition of our Souls, I felt I needed to get in touch with the ones I 'neglected'. I held expectations when it came to writing about the Third Eye and Crown Chakras, I truly believed it would be the easiest for me to write, after all these were my two "favorite" Chakras...Today I sit here at my computer for the 10th or so time, attempting to write this post. I'm not suffering from any Writer's Block, I am only just now aware of the maturity and wisdom that comes with this Chakra, and really a bit blown away by it.

By nature I tend to 'live' in the Crown, I have labeled myself as "cerebral" or "verbally abstract", by which I mean I would rather write than speak publicly; I feel, much better than I speak, and find that my heart and head are one in the same. Allowing my feelings to just float around in the Ethers was much easier then to look at them and truly examine what they where, let a lone, why they were happening to begin with. In the last several weeks a few revelations have come to mind, I had to come to acknowledge just how foggy my thinking was and how that was coming across verbally, as well as what feelings were attached to them.

What does all of this have to do with the Crown Chakra you might ask? Everything and nothing depending on where you are on your Chakra Evolution.

The goal of the Crown Chakra can be described as recognizing your Universal Identity through Knowing Thy Self. The Crown Chakra is how we connect universally, and how we connect to Spirit. I wanted to be an active participant in my Evolution; to truly know myself I felt the need to examine each one of my chakras in a very honest way.  All of the Chakras below the Crown have an effect on how your Crown functions. Starting with the Root Chraka (our beliefs), the beliefs we have directly effect all other Chakras, beliefs are how we see and act in the physical world, and how we present our Universal-selves. When we can pause and recognize the many parts or identities of ourself we can truly begin to know and accept who we are, thus also accepting the truth of the Universe around us.

To me, the Crown Chakra is all about the your place in the Universe, you as the Universe; the Microcosm & Macrocosm, the As Above, So Below principle, the Crown is the ultimate Mirror.

To understand the Crown Chakra is to have true Universal Wisdom, and the goal is for clear and pure connection to Spirit, to the Universal Truth by way of Knowing Thy Self.

This completes my Chakra Focus! Hooray!!! I will continue to delve deeper into my Chakras, as a dynamic being my evolution is never complete, and only continues to grow. I hope that these Chakra Focuses have helped you in some way, and inspired you to explore yourself.

Angel Card if the Week: Meadow/Vulnerability

This week's card is from Dr. Steven Farmer's Earth Magic Oracle deck, it depicts a beautiful open meadow with wild flowers. The title says it all, vulnerability, this card is about exposure, and exposure means truth. The irony, or rather perfect synchronicity, is that we are right in the middle of a series of eclipses which are said to bring the truth to the light.

With vulnerability comes fear, fear of the truth coming out, or perhaps this is fear of your own personal truth, and fear of the judgements that may come with that. Whatever this fear may be, the best remedy usually is to face them head on and grow from them. Exposure can be liberating, the soul is meant to be lite and not weighed down by attempting to cover up who we are inside.

Know that now is the perfect time to embrace who you are and let the world see. Whatever you may be covering up in your world, that needs exposure, make the choice to accept it and allow it to come to fruition.

Have a great week!
