Angel Card of The Week: Dragonfly/Emergence

This week's card is from Dr. Steven Farmer's Earth Magic Oracle deck, the Dragonfly/Emergence card is by far one of the most beautiful in the deck both visually and symbolically. This card depicts a beautiful nymph rising from the waters much like a dragonfly does once it is ready to be born. The dragonfly's larvae (egg) is dropped into the waters as a nymph and stays there until it is strong enough to emerge and make it's way back to land. This hatching is very much symbolic of a new stage in your life, a new level of maturity, or a new evolution of yourself coming to the forefront.

There has been something energetically brewing behind the scenes for a while, and I could not quite put my finger on why I was feeling so uneasy about it. Change happens all the time, and perhaps what I am feeling is my own personal acceptance of this much needed shift. To fully experience the benefits of change we must surrender to our fears and be able to emerge and move into our next evolution of maturity.

In our short four day week ahead, look at what makes you uncomfortable, in what area of your life do you feel a change is happening? Are you resisting this change? Why? Allow your new self to emerge and remove any self-limiting beliefs blocking your way.

Have a wonderful week!

Angel Card of The Week: Be Willing to Forgive

Coming off this beautiful New Moon Eclipse on 5/20/12, this week's cards I hope aids in the renewal that is now occurring for all of us, "Be Willing to Forgive". Allowing yourself to heal from past hurts, slights, or indifferences, can be such a great act of self love. Carrying around anger or un-forgiveness can be so damaging to our hearts, spirits, and physical body.

Forgiving something that is unforgettable is not the easiest task, but if I can offer a bit of advice, I would say to you, write down whatever the situation was, and what did you learn from it, view this as beneficial for yourself, your own private lesson. With the paper you wrote on, pray over it that Spirit takes this hurt and transforms it to peace, you can 'Reiki' your paper as well if it applies to you, and trust that your angels have carried this message to Spirit on your behalf. Trust that the healing process that is Forgiveness is taking place.

Have a beautiful week.

Angel Card of the Week: Fire/Passion

This week I am using Dr. Steven Farmer's Earth Magic Oracle Cards, I am very excited about this week's card! This beautiful card depicts what appears to be a man blowing or "eating" fire from a torch while doing a ceremonial fire dance. This card takes on a deeply personal meaning for me as I approach this week. I feel as though I am coming out of a particularly dormant phase, or epoch, as it feels like it has gone on far too long. I have not been true to my creative desires, and frankly lost all passion, creative or otherwise, out of a sense of fear of failure

The last few weeks I have been immensely focused on my Sacral Chakra, the Chakra of creativity and desire. The Solar Plexus, just above the Sacral, is our own inner fire (ego), it is how we show up in the world around us. I have had a new surge of creativity, and in the coming months, this will become something much more tangible and healing for myself as well as others to use. As I complete the last couple of months of my Reiki Master Class, I find myself moving forward with a courage, and a fast pace momentum that I have not experienced in such a long time. I have a passion to create right now, but in a very useful and life changing way.

As this week begins, as yourself What am I passionate about? What are my desires? Am I pursuing my life's goals? Find out if you are just 'existing' in your own life without goals or passions, or if you have goals and passions, are you afraid to pursue them? Only you have these answers, and it may very well take longer than one week to find them, but you can start, and be on your way to living the life you have always desired.

As always, have a blessed week.

Synchronicity

One of my favorite concepts is the concept of 'synchronicity'. Much of my life has held what I consider to be synchronistic events, both big and small. The Daily Om seems to be on a roll with 'synchronistic' articles this week that seem to be mirroring my life experiences. Synchronicity is often viewed as being akin to a 'coincidence'. I do not believe in coincidences, I believe synchronicities have a deeper meaning, they hold a purpose, they hold information and lessons. Synchronicities are a guide post to let you know you are going in the right direction, and to continue following this path.

Just the other day, I left one of my final Reiki Master Classes, where I spoke of the Sacral Chakra and feeling I needed to focus more on personal creativity. No sooner then me leaving class, I bump into a gentleman who immediately begins asking me about poetry without any apparent reason. Poetry is truly my first love, and first creative outlet, something of which my Sacral Chakra craves right now. As I mentioned above, these synchronistic experiences are range from small to overwhelmingly miraculous.

May 4, 2012 Noticing Synchronicity Interconnected Experiences

Things happen in our lives for a reason, even if that reason is not clear to you right away.

When events appear to fit together perfectly in our lives it may seem at first that they are random occurrences, things that are the result of coincidence. These synchronous happenings, though, are much more than that, for, if we look at them more closely they can show us that the universe is listening to us and gently communicating with us. Learning to pay attention to and link the things that occur on a daily basis can be a way for us to become more attuned to the fact that most everything happens in our lives for a reason – even when that reason is not clear right away.

When we realize that things often go more smoothly than we can ever imagine, it allows us to take the time to reflect on the patterns in our lives. Even events that might not at first seem to be related to each other are indicators that the universe is working with, not against, us. This idea of synchronicity, then, means that we have to trust there is more to our lives than what we experience on a physical level. We need to be willing to look more closely at the bigger picture, accepting and having confidence in the fact that there is more to our experiences than immediately meets the eye. Being open to synchronicity also means that we have to understand that our lives are filled with both positive and negative events. Once we can recognize that one event is neither more desirable nor better than the other – they all have an overall purpose in our lives -- then we are truly ready to listen to the messages the universe gives us.

While we may not be able to see everything in our lives as being synchronous, we can certainly use hindsight to be more aware of how the universe guides us. This sense of wonder at the mysteries of the universe and the interconnectedness present in our lives will help us see our overall ways of being and will in turn make it easier to work more consciously towards our spiritual evolution.

Repeating Number Patterns

A few days ago I saw an article from the Daily Om discussing number patterns and it reminded me of my first fascination with them. A few years ago when I was suffering from a rare autoimmune disease, I began waking up in the middle of the night to be staring at my digital bedside clock. I had difficulty breathing with my lungs being week, my nose was literally fused shut and I had to do mouth breathing which can feel very claustrophobic while attempting to get a good night's sleep. These numbers began waking me up every night for at least a week, I saw 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, and even 5:55 AM. This began to feel like a cruel joke of sorts, I was terribly frustrated until I did some research and found that these were angels numbers. I felt deeply comforted knowing that my angels were announcing their dutiful watch, but also knowing that they probably saved my life, my breathing was gravely shallow. It leaves me wondering still if I would have died in my sleep if they had not intervened. Though I am healthy now, I still see these numbers that seemingly jump out at me, almost startling me, and I take a moment to feel what message is being sent. These numbers can take on a personal meaning, it can be a message from a departed loved one, or a message from your angels or guides. I have read many online pages, but I will let you Goolgle them, and find out what these numbers mean to you. Doreen Virtue seems to be 'mother of the angel market', you can read her meanings by clicking here.

Numbers: Repeating Patterns of Meaning

Published by the Daily Om May 2, 2012

Seeing number patterns repeating in your life is a signal to take pause and pay attention to it's meaning.

Glancing at the clock may cause us to look again sometimes, especially when we notice that we’ve caught it at the same time over and over again. Maybe we see the same number pattern echoed everywhere we look—whether on license plates or appliances—over a period of hours or even days. When we accept that there are no coincidences, we know there is a message in the numbers for us, and we know to pay attention to the repeating patterns and search for their true meaning.

Numerology has its basis in the ancient world and tells us that each number carries its own vibration and symbolic significance. It can mark the stages of our soul’s evolution as we move from one frequency to the next. Repeating number patterns in our lives may call us to focus on certain aspects of our lives and rise to approach them from the best within us. Once we’ve recognized that there is something we must look more deeply into, we also must trust that we will be guided to the people and places that hold the right answers for us.

Numbers, as symbols, can carry personal meanings as well. We may have our own lucky number that has served us well throughout our lives and another that reminds us of certain events of significance. If these are the numbers that are appearing, it may be the right time to delve into the past for clues about how to handle a present situation. Many people are seeing 11:11 right now, which can be interpreted as an energetic gateway that has opened for you and is ready to manifest your thoughts into reality. Whatever explanations you receive about the numbers that are appearing everywhere you look, the important thing is to trust your own guidance as to what they are telling you. Each culture attaches different meaning to the numbers, so a Chinese interpretation may be different than an interpretation from Kabalah. It is up to us to use our intuition to see which is the best fit for us. If someone has an explanation that doesn’t feel right, then this is not the answer for you but may be just a clue to keep you moving on the path. By paying attention to the numbers around us, we use them as tools to improve our connection to the universe and our awareness of our choices in life.

How to Incorporate Reiki Into Your Daily Life

For those of us familiar with Reiki, we can easily associate it with peaceful, calming, or relaxing feelings, but Reiki can also be fun and energetic as well. I would like to share the other uses for Reiki that you often do not hear about, with these additional uses you can incorporate Reiki into your daily life without it if feeling like you need to take the time to hold a special ceremony each time.

• Manifesting. There are so many books, blogs, videos, and seminars on this topic alone, it;s very hot right now, especially in what has been labeled a down economy. It seems like the general message is to just create a vision board, do some affirmations and visualize what you want. I have my own personal views on this kind of thinking, and since this is my blog, I will share them, I think it promotes unrealistic ideas and laziness. If you want something you have to DO something to receive it, Reiki is no different. There may be some authors out there who further explain true manifesting, but the idea seems to be cheapened by the mainstream media.
Before manifesting can even take place, you need to be clear on what you want, why you want it, and if it is in your highest good. Do you have any beliefs blocking you from what you think you wish to manifest? Reiki can help you decipher this integral part of manifesting. Once you actually know what you desire, you can use Reiki to infuse those needs. I created a "Manifestation Box" similar to a Reiki Healing box, and I write down what I wish to manifest, place it in the box, and then send Reiki to it.

• Infuse your food with Reiki. Hopefully you already pray over your food, you can Reiki as well.

Infuse your drinking water with Reiki, as well as the water you use for your plants.

• Reiki your car and driving route. I do this daily! I really have a ritual around this one, I get in my car and pray; I pray for myself, my car, and the surrounding cars. As I drive, I Reiki the road ahead, when I need to merge over to another lane, I Reiki the space to open it up.

• Parking, I love using Reiki to find a parking space, this is something I did prior to any experience with Reiki, I used what I called "parking angels".

• Reiki your Throat Chakra. I love sending Reiki to this chakra when I have to have a challenging conversation with someone. Challenging doesn't have to mean a argument, it can be an interview or speech. This can work also with needing to hear and really listen to someone else as well since the Throat Chakra overlaps with the ears as well. This principal can be applied to any of your chakras, as they all govern specified areas of the physical body.

• Reiki your shower head, or bath tub faucet. This idea of this is simply fabulous! Shower or bathe yourself in Reiki. Our skin is our largest organ, and it is very absorbant, why not nourish it with Reiki?

• Reiki in your workout? YES! A few months back I was in a grueling Kung Fu style boot camp class, very cardio heavy, which made you want to just stop and rest. I zoned out in the middle of my 100+ jumping jack warm-up and figured there had to be a way to use Reiki to help me get through this. Being an Advanced Practitioner I used a few symbols from my 2nd and 3rd Degree training, first the Empowerment Symbol and then the Increase Energy symbol. Using these symbols kept me focused and assisted with my endurance during the class.

This list could be endless, Reiki is a creative energy so go out there and explore how you can incorporate Reiki into your daily life.

Angel Card of the Week: Dreamtime/Creation

This week's card, Dreamtime/Creation depicts a beautiful scene, you first see a Native Aboriginal Man with a vibrant Didgeridoo creating a dream. In the sky it appears to be his possible ancestors, the Earth, some souls, and a variety of animals. His eyes are turned up, looking up towards his exposed Third Eye, and his higher up Chakras. He seems to be deeply tapped into the All That Is Possible.  Our dream time is often looked at as a fantasy, something not in our so-called reality, just our mind processing all that has happened in our last several earth-conscious hours.

In some indigenous cultures around the world dreams are more real than our waking states of daily consciousness. In our slumber we are at rest, we go through differing states of consciousness. It is my belief that we are at our most comfortable state of astral travelling. I cannot describe how many times I have been in a very deep sleep, felt the rush of travelling to my dream, time and space had no definition, and I felt completely detached from this present existence...and during some of those 'trips' I I felt as though I had come back too sudden, far to quickly, and was left wondering what and where I was, I had to sit and name off the members of my family and closest friends. There are also those sleeps where you felt as though you were doing some sort of work on the 'other side'. I am very adamant in my beliefs that these are not simply 'sleep patterns'  these are valid experiences and expressions of our state of being, and are to be learned from. In these experiences, I have also encountered animals, and people that I have never ever met in my present life, and have received invaluable insight from them.

This week it is my sincerest hope, that you please pay attention to your dreams. Write them down, as trivial or mundane as they may seem, and you may find answers to questions you did not even know you were seeking.

Have a blessed week.
